You find out you are going to be parents 🙂 No doubt, one of the first big items you purchase is a fully kitted out stroller system, complete with carry cot. I did!
Once you are out of the haze of having a new born baby, the idea of going away on holiday actually becomes a possibility. Oh, as a side mention, if you’re wondering what sun cream to use for toddlers, especially if they have sensitive skin, then check out my blog here). Okay, back to where I was… I remember thinking that there was no way I would take my EXPENSIVE, not to mention BULKY stroller abroad. So I started to read around for a reasonably priced and lightweight stroller for my, then 6 month old.
This blog focuses on two popular lightweight strollers that are on the market.

Both are well know brands and are popular choices among parents. I love the fact they both come in several different colours. Especially the Zeta Vooom, which comes in modern, vibrant colours, to totally match your personality.
They are both suitable from birth and have the recline feature, which makes getting out and about with a new-born super easy. A hood or canopy come standard with all strollers, which is no different for both. The City Mini Jogger houses two peek-a-boo windows and a large UV 50+ sun canopy to protect your child. Whereas the Zeta Vooom has one window and a pop out sun shade in the hood.
Being able to fold and store your stroller is a key feature that parents will look for. The Zeta Vooom folds fairly easily, with one hand. It also has a carry handle, which makes it easy to pick up or to wheel when it’s folded. The City Mini Jogger has an effective mechanism; lift the strap with one hand and it folds itself. An auto-lock secures the stroller to make transportation and storage a breeze.
Storage is also another key factor that parents will look for before committing to buy. Both have an underseat shopping basket. Though the City Mini Joggers’ storage basket is a bit on the smaller side compared to the Zeta Vooom.
Why is the City Mini Jogger Stroller more Expensive?
You might be thinking, why have I decided to compare these two strollers, especially when there is such a big price gap! As discussed above, both offer many similarities but the City Mini Jogger does have additional features that might make you think twice.
It can be used as a complete travel system from birth. Meaning that it is compatible with all the major car seat brands (buy seat and adapters separately). It can also accept a glider board for older siblings. So, it just might be the only stroller your family needs.
Thanks to its puncture-proof EVA wheels and front suspension system, the City Mini Jogger provides a smooth ride over the bumpiest of pavements. The front wheel can be set to swivel or lock mode so giving you better control over different terrains and the three-wheel design makes navigating through tight spaces a breeze.
If you’re looking for a lightweight stroller to take on holiday that won’t break the bank, then the Zeta Vooom ticks all the boxes. The City Mini Jogger stroller is the more expensive of the two but it offers the complete package. It is also considerably cheaper than other similar strollers on the market. If you’re looking for a stroller that can grow with the family and can be used as an everyday stroller, then I would recommend the City Mini Jogger.
